These are not designer Modak’s. In Maharashtra Sweet stuffed Rice Flour Dumplings with this shape are called Modak’s. The flat ones are not Modak’s even though everything is same, its called “Karavali”

whats the occasion? and what is that food? I have seen stuff in these shapes but never white.
Is that designer mothak? we used to make the flat ones not the designer one.
In south india we used to do that rangoli with rice flour.
Occasion was Angarika.

I always thought modak is a peda like sweet and the other semi circle kind of thing is brown cause it gets fried.
